Community Service and
Impact Report
April 2023 - June 2023
KNKX has been hard at work delivering fresh programming for our region—music to entertain, news and stories to inform and inspire, and familiar voices to accompany you all day long. We do it both for you and because of you. So, thank you for helping us make the jazz, blues, and news not only consistently possible, but impactful.
Now Broadcasting from our new Seattle Studio!
In addition to our Tacoma studio, KNKX is now broadcasting from the heart of Seattle.
The $5.9 million dollars for this project were raised thanks to the generosity of many donors across Western Washington
Two artists, Craig Cundiff and Moses Sun, created two stunning murals for KNKX, including this outdoor mural of a jazz musician.

In mid-June, KNKX successfully delivered our very first broadcast from our new Seattle home on Western Avenue. Emil Moffatt went live in a brand new, state-of-the-art studio.
Also in June, KNKX brought back our beloved program Connects. In recognition of our new neighbor, we highlighted the hidden stories of Pike Place Market.
